I'm Syma and I have a love of all things sewing and Liberty. I remember sitting underneath my aunt’s sewing table and playing with the scraps of fabric and thread, loving all the bright colours and patterns. It's that love of colour and patterns that I try to bring to Mary and the Guys.

 

I have two daughters who along with their cousins and friends, personally test everything I make for style and durability (as well as whether they like them!) before they make it into our range.

All the personalisation is hand done by me in my south London studio, using the most beautiful Liberty Tana Lawn Cotton. My approach is to make high quality products that are both stylish and practical. Kids are supposed to be kids, play in the mud, have tea parties and be away with the fairies, so all our products wear well and wash well. Perfect for special occasions and everyday use. The products I personalise are all either made in the UK or India where work is 100% BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) compliant.
